FRANCE:  COUNTS OF AUTREY* CASTLES * COATS OF ARMS

People keep telling me that Cornelius Autry came to the United States  from France.  So far, no one has shown me any proof.   There is no doubt in my mind that "Autrey" may indeed be a French word, but it's one I associate with Autre, meaning "other".   It always throws me off a little when I'm traveling overseas.

Challenge:   In an effort to get actual documentation on what seems to be the great Cornelius Autry/France myth, I am hereby offering home baked brownies (via the mail) to anyone who can prove beyond a reasonable doubt with primary sources that Cornelius Autry came from France.  That's right, brownies I baked myself, and I promise not to burn them.
