                         IL m. 6-19-1862 David Huston Hemphill, as his 2nd wife, b. 3-5-1830
                         d. 9-1 1-1907, son of Alexander and Margaret Wilson Hemphill, brother
                         of Aaron F. who m. sister Matilda Ann. 5 children. Both are buried in
Jennings Cemetery (earlier known as Howell), Calhoun map shows Lavacca in Choctaw Co.).

 

MARTHA ANN AUTERY

Martha Ann Autery was born In Lavacca county Alabama, January 10th. 1842 where she resided with her parents until ten years of age when they moved to Pike county Illinois. She departed this life December 25th. 1913 at the home of her daughter. Agnes Rowley, near Nebo Illinois. At the age of 72 years, 11 months and 15 days. She united in marriage to D. H. Hemphill June 19 1862. To this union were born eight children three of them dying in infancy. Those who survive her are: Mrs. Alvin Lang, Pleasant Hill, Illinois, Mrs. Florida Sitton, Mrs. Olive Zutnwalt, Mrs. Virginia Neese, Mrs. Agnes Rowley, all of Nebo and Twenty two grand children, two sisters and four brothers: Mrs. L. J. Shaw, E. W. Autery, Mrs. R. C. Hogait, Ontario, Calif.., D. A. Autery, Kansas Pass, Texas, J. U. Autery, Flume, Mo, r. S. Autery, Kansas Pass, Texas.

Co., IL (Note: She united with the Baptist church at the age of 18 years a: Pleasant Hill, Illinois. She became a charter member of Nebo church 50 years ago where she has ever been a faithful member. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Bin. Anthrobus, They read the beautiful hymns. Nearer My God to Thee and "I Am Going Home to Die No More, The remains were laid to rest in the Jennings cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
