Jackson, Mississippi in July 1863, Operations against the Expedition from Vicksburg to Meridian, Mississippi in February and March 1864, in the Atlanta, Georgia Campaign from May to September 1864 and in the Baffles of Franklin and Nashville, Tennessee in November and December 1864. He was captured by the enemy at Franklin, Tennessee 17 December 1864 and was sent to Military Prison at Louisville, Kentucky in January 1865. He was received 9 January 1865 at Camp Chase, Ohio. He was sent to Richmond, Virginia where he was paroled. He started home and the command surrendered before he reached home.

 

Thomas J. Autrey held the first reunion of Company E in October 1912 at his home in Lincoln Parrish, Louisiana. For at least ten years these reunions were held annually in the homes of the veterans of Company E according to R. J. Tabor, Company Commander,8
