Autrey, A. R. Private. Co I, 40th Regiment N.C.T. (3 Regiment NC. Artillery).

Enlisted in Cumberland County at age 18, January 12, 1864 for the war. Present or accounted for trough

February 1865. Page 491.

 

Autry , Daniel. Private. 2nd Co. C, 36th Regiment N.C.T. (2nd Regiment NC. Artillery). Born in Sampson County and was a farmer by occupation enlisted at age 35, February 9, 1863 for three years. Present or accounted for though August 1984. Pages 226 and 693.

 

Autry , John W. Private. 2nd Co. C, 36th Regiment N.C.T. (2nd Regiment N.C. Artillery).

Born in Sampson County and was a fanner by occupation enlisted at age 29, February 9, 1863 for three

years. Present or accounted for through August 1864. Wounded in the upper jaw at Fort Fisher on

January 15, 1865 and confined at Point lookout, Maryland, until released after taking the Oath of

Allegiance. Pages 226 and 693.

 

Autry , John William. Private. Co. 1), 10th Regiment N.C.S.T. (1st Regiment N.C. Artillery)

Born in Sampson County where he resided as a laborer prior to enlisting in Sampson County at age 39.

He was conscripted July 22, 1862 for the war. Present or accounted for through February 1865.

Captured at Amelia Court House, Virginia, April 5, 1865 and confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, until

released after taking the Oath of Allegiance June 23, 1865. Pages 26 and 693.

 

Autry , Love. Private. Co. U, 10th Regiment N.C.S.T. (1st Regiment NC. Artillery).

Born in Sampson. County where he resided as a farm laborer prior to enlisting in Sampson County at age

20 July 22, 1862 for the war. Present or accounted for through February 1865. Captured at Amelia Court

house, Virginia, April 5, 1865 and confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, until released after taking the

Oath of Allegiance. Pages 76 and 694.

 

Autry , Micajah. Private. 2nd Co. C, 36th Regiment N.C.T. (2nd Regiment NC. Artillery).

Born in Sampson County where he resided as a timber cutter prior to enlisting at age 27 February 9, 1863

for three years. Present or accounted for through August 1864. Captured at Fort Fisher January IS, 1865

and contained at Elmira, New York, where he died April 9, 1865 of chronic diarrhea and was buried in

Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, New York. Pages 226 and 694.

 

Autry , Miles C. Private, 3rd Co. B, 36th Regiment N.C.T. (2nd Regiment NC. Artillery).

Born in Sampson County and was by occupation a farm laborer. Enlisted in Sampson County at age 20,

April 16, 1865 for three years. Present or accounted for through August 1864. Pages 208 and 694.

 

Autry , Newsome. Private. 2nd Co. A, 36th Regiment NC. T. (2nd Regiment NC. Artillery). Born in Sampson County in 1838 and was by occupation a laborer. Place and date of enlistment not reported; however, he probably enlisted subsequent to August 31, 1964. Captured at Fort Fisher on January 15, 1865. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, where he died on March 2, 1865 of chronic dysentery. Pages 185 and 694.
