A correction I would suggest is the Name of (Eudora) Eulator Maxey. On her gravestone it is Eulalor. (Eudora) Eulator Maxey is the half sister of Clyde Maxey. Asa is my Grandfather.

A correction to be made to my great great grandfathers marriages. I don't know who submitted the information but they were not very observant in their information. The page is 44 , my gggrandfather was George Autrey's son William, in the book it says that he was married three times, first to Francis Heflin, then to Ogretta Hutash, then to a Francis......
Here is the scoop, William was married only once to Francis Ann Heflin. Ogretta Hutash is the person in Cherokee County, Texas who is in charge of the marriage records there. How her name got mixed into this information I don't know. As far as I know she is still alive and putting marriage records on the internet.
PS If Ogretta is the one my gggrandfather married I want to know her secret of longevity.

Page 277 lists the children of Arizona Autry as William, Pluinmer and Ester. The one listed as Pluinmer is my grandfather.
His name was actually James Columbus. He was given the nickname Plummer by a family friend who had a lisp.

APPEND SOURCE 9: Page 22. Email from Richard White to AAM 22 September 2008. This is one of my 2-great grandfather John English Autry's brothers.
James C. Autry DIED while the 64th Georgia was training at Quincy,
Florida, on 20 May 1863. The rest of the record shown is that of my
2-great grandfather John English Autry, who was at home on medical
furlough at the end of the war. The information you have posted is
taken directly from Miss Lillian Henderson's Roster of the
Confederate Soldiers of Georgia. Miss Henderson was Georgia's
pension department director, which makes the confutation of two
individual soldiers into one in this case, quadruply reprehensible.
The initial error was made by the U.S. War Department clerks when they
compiled the Confederate service records. It was QUITE COMMON for them
either to roll two separate individuals into one record, based on
similarity of their name (or initials)... or conversely... to give one
individual two separate records based on misspellings or variations
such as use of full first name on the original rolls in some cases and
initials in lieu of first name in others. Miss Henderson had a
wonderful opportunity the figure this particular set of errors out.
Instead she and/or the U.S. War Department clerks compounded it and
made it worse.
My full deconstruction and reconstruction of the two records is here:
