If you're just starting to research your Autrey family, I have several suggestions.  Sign up for the Autrey genealogy e-mail list.  The list is filled with terrific people who have an invaluable wealth of knowledge about the Autrey families.  Have a look at our records page to see if you can find additional information on the ancestors you already know about.  Remember that genealogy is a two way street - if you don't share your information, neither will anyone else.  If you'd like to submit information to this page, please submit it via the forum.

This website is full of information dug up and shared by many generous genealogists.  The information may not always be 100% correct, so make sure to verify your sources.  Nothing is more important than documentation!

Autry surname e-mail list

This list is for all variations of the Autrey surname, and is run by the webmaster of autreyheritage.com .  It's for genealogy queries only.  Signing up is easy.  There are two different versions of the list.  The Autry -l list will send every single query to your e-mail box as an individual e-mail.  The Autry -d list compiles all of the queries for a certain time period into a digest format, and sends them to you as one long e-mail.   To subscribe, write an e-mail that only says the word "subscribe" in the body. For digest mode, send this mail to Autry-d-request@rootsweb.com For normal mode, send this mail to Autry-l-request@rootsweb.com .
